Three points – well done?!

Friday afternoon at work: Although it was a match day and Dortmund was playing that night only one topic was discussed: Is Kagawa coming back? It did not even feel like there was a match later. All pointed towards one person. The one guy we need to finally form the deja-vu situation: We lost against Leverkusen and need our Japanese hero to have 2010/2011 all over again. Just a little adjustment to that season: Please do not get injured again at the Asian Nations Cup, Shinji!
Even Klopp could not resist to give us a hint what was about to come: Weidenfeller played instead of Langerak which makes totally sense in the retrospect as he needed a player giving the letter "W" so he had all letters on the pitch to form Kagawa Shinji.
Ok, enough about Kagawa I suppose! A match was played that evening as well ...

Our BVB started better this time and survived the first few seconds without conceding a goal. In fact they performed quite well! After ten minutes Augsburg had about 63% possession of the ball but Dortmund dominated the game. All the possession was in the Augsburg half, no chance for them to create a decent attack. It took eleven minutes though until Reus got bored. He got the ball from Mkhitaryan, played a one-two with Großkreutz and scored. A great goal and the only thing I could think of was how typical this move would have been for Kagawa. Three minutes later a set piece gave us another moment of celebration and some people even reported a smile on Sokratis' face! A corner swung in by Reus and headed in by Sokratis, 2-0.
Sixty minutes after the 2-0 it started to feel strange. Why the hell are we not 6-0 in the lead? How could we not score from the many chance we got? Leaving out so many chance normally builds up the other side. They tried to score themselves but our offside trap worked and if not, Piszczek was around to clear the situation. All the bad feelings about foreseeable struggles in the last minutes were wiped away by Ramos. Another corner, this time cleared but brought back into the danger zone by Mkhitaryan was finalised by the Columbian striker: 3-0.

But two-face hits back. Subotic said afterwards that the team should slap themselves for the last ten minutes. First Bobadilla, then Matavz scored within these ten minutes and if Weidenfeller had not saved a shot by Werner in the last minutes, two points would have been lost. Even the fact that we should have gotten a penalty does not change that we totally lost our grip.

In the end we do not have to care too much about it. We got all three points, that's what counts.
