Today we'd like to present you a brilliant story by Kenny, who has mailed in his Borussia story in reply to our Competition. Make sure you mail in your stories or pictures before September, 14th to win a schwatzgelb-Sweater or one of two schwatzgelb-Shirts. But now enjoy the tale of a Scotsman that just wanted to see his country play in Germany and all of a sudden was a Borussia Dortmund fan.

As the draw at Nyon came up with the Opponent „FK Qarabag Agdam“ instead of AIK Stockholm (these were the last 2 teams in our pot), the great confusion how to get there began. A first search results flight-costs of ca. 400 €, but difficulties to get a Visa in time, and very expensive bookable hotels from Germany. So we decided to take the one-day Fan-Flight, which was organised by The Unity and Away Sups Werdohl for 558 €.
After the first game I read that there were heavy incidents after the game AIK Stockholm – Levski Sofia, so our draw was not the worst I think...

We all know that you can find Borussia fans all over the world! And today let’s cross the sea with a finger on the map and take a look 1.000 km westward from Dortmund to Ireland, or more precisely Clonmel. Clonmel is a city with round about 20.000 inhabitants, not far away from one of Ireland’s most popular landmarks, the iconic Rock of Cashel with a lot of historic buildings. But for my friends and me Clonmel is also Borussia’s local branch in Ireland!

Dear schwatzgelb.com,
My name is Jake Vertin and I am almost 17 years old. I live near San Francisco, California. And like all of you, I love Borussia Dortmund. My mom is from Dortmund (Sölderholz) and for as long as I can remember, I've been a BVB fan.
Before moving to California, I lived in Atlanta, Georgia, where I attended the Atlanta International School and studied German for five years, from kindergarten to 3rd grade. It was during these years that I became a BVB supporter. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, Fox Soccer Channel would broadcast bundesliga matches.

Once again it is time to put the focus on the most important football tournament of the planet. Since we had to present Matty´s kind apology right away, this time around only two of our experts have their say. Derek reviews the U.S. performance in South Africa after the defeat against Ghana in overtime. And schwatzgelb.com´s own Steph chose to retreat to the East German lakes to meditate about the German chances in tomorrows clash against Argentina and the multi-cultural background of ze Mannschaft.

World Cup 2010 29.06.2010, 15:29
In the aftermath of Germany´s 4:1 landslide against the motherland of the sport, our English expert Matty has shown a perfect example of English sportsmanship. He immediately acknowledged that his predictions were proven wrong and even sent in a formal apology. This goes to show once again why you have to love those people from the funny little island in the sea, even though we´re bitter rivals when we meet on the pitch. Everyone can be a good winner, but to loose with dignity is a much harder task. This text shows how to do it in style! Cheer up Matty, the next foul decision by the refs should be in Englands favour.

World Cup 2010 25.06.2010, 11:52
As the group stage is leaning towards its end, it is time for the second edition of our World Cup diary. This time around U.S.-Supporter Derek puts the focus on the terrible refereeing, his team has had to cope with so far and Matty from England presents his hopes and dreams for sunday, which of course will inevitably be squashed by the bogey team from Germany. Because the golden rule, introduced by the great English philosopher Gary Lineker is still undisputed: "Football is a game for 22 people that run around, play the ball, and
one referee who makes a slew of mistakes, and in the end Germany always
wins." So us Germans can look forward to the weekend with good confidence and maybe we should even be grateful for avoiding the U.S.A., because they showed a great team effort in South Africa so far.The German outlook on the classic ahead is taken by our Steph. But first let´s take a look, what our international experts have to say.
