The torturing summer break and its benefits

Everybody of us knows the horrible feeling that's creeping through our veins, the lethargy in our heads when we look at the Bundesliga schedule and count the seemingly endless days until the glory yellow- black dresses will be worn again in the beautiful Westfalenstadion or anywhere else. We're all tired of rumours and even more rumours about rumours and so on.

Westfalenstadion
Borussia Dortmund's ground is a classic. Two huge end terraces (and they are terraces, with the use of safe standing) that fling noise down at the playing area with deafening intensity. This place was built for football and for fans to express themselves. Every European Cup final should be held here. The best atmosphere on the Continent on a game-to-game basis.

Surprises in both directions- from nobodies to stars and vice- versa. Of course every viewer got his own impressions and even in the editorial there are differences. 3 editors per player stated their opinions.

A letter from the US

Dear schwatzgelb.com,
My name is Jake Vertin and I am almost 17 years old. I live near San Francisco, California. And like all of you, I love Borussia Dortmund. My mom is from Dortmund (Sölderholz) and for as long as I can remember, I've been a BVB fan.
Before moving to California, I lived in Atlanta, Georgia, where I attended the Atlanta International School and studied German for five years, from kindergarten to 3rd grade. It was during these years that I became a BVB supporter.

Each player from the backbone of our team gets judged by three of our editors (of the German page, too), in this edition we focus on the centre backs, next time the fullbacks will get their share. As before, our grades rank from 1 (spot on mate, brilliant) to 6 (that was crap, go away).

The English view on "ze Klassiker": An Apology from the motherland

schwatzgelb.com goes Worldcup 2010In the aftermath of Germany´s 4:1 landslide against the motherland of the sport, our English expert Matty has shown a perfect example of English sportsmanship.
