Bundesliga, ended in horrible last 15 minutes. Borussia Dortmund wasn't able to hold on to an early lead and so two late penalties by Salihovic gave Hoffenheim a vital win.

matches, Borussia is on the home stretch. Many Warm Up and Match Reports have
been written and nearly all available football phrases have been used. Right
now, there is only one match left before Borussia will contest in one of the
most important matches in the club history. But before, we have the possibility
to put the icing on the cake of this beautiful season by sending TSG Hoffenheim
back to the depths of the eighth division.

Although our 2nd place (and consequently also the qualification for the Champions League 2013/14) is achieved, this match is not necessarily unimportant. On the one hand we still have a score to settle with the Vfl after they unfortunately defeated us last year, and on the other hand this can be seen as the first test for the final against our dear rival Bayern in the Wembley Stadium.

reigning champion Borussia Dortmund achieved an in the end satisfying draw
against the upcoming champion and Champions League final opponent Buyern
Munich. Despite the absent importance caused by this fixture at this time of
the season, both teams did show what this matchup is really and will always be
about: prestige. And like so often in the last couple of years, they offered
much excitement to the audience. As a final rehearsal before Wembley, both squads
showed a passionate performance without really giving 100%. And although the personnel rotation was given
on both sides, it was obvious that the long season filled by a lot of midweek
matches left its marks.

In recent years the duels between our beloved Borussia and the Bavarian moneybags have been the highlights of the season. Matches to remember. Matches were championships were won and lost. And then the unforgettable night in Berlin where we made the historic double reality. Saturday’s match is about nothing much. Bayern will remain first, we’ll end up second. However, nobody will remember the day for the loss against Real Madrid though. Maybe the last fifteen minutes of the match will stay in the minds of the Borussian supporters for the apprehension of the third goal, but in the end, the loss and the last minutes don't matter. Borussia survived the Bernabéu, survived Real Madrid and is one of the two finalists in this year's Champions League. Even two days later, it still sounds unreal but equally awesome and legendary.

Between these two matches of international importance stands another task which seems to be almost forgotten by the majority of black and yellow supporters: Fortuna Düsseldorf is waiting for us, hoping to gain some points what would be connected with a huge step for them in the direction of staying up in the highest German League. Although Borussia does not have to win this game necessarily (and to us it appears to be more a space filler with the use of avoiding that we become crazy while waiting for next Tuesday) they will invest as much as possible in a victory. The essential question: What is possible in this special situation?

The match we have all been longing for. It’s semifinal time in the Champions League and believe it or not Borussia is still in the competition. Only four years ago Borussia Dortmund hired Real Madrid for a test match as a “birthday present” for the club. The star ensemble wiped Borussia away with a 5:0. This year we did not only beat them at home in the group stage but we were just a minute away from winning at Santiago Bernabeu as well. So undoubtedly Borussia has come a long way in recent years. Meeting Real again in the semis should be the matches of the decade for the club and the fans should be sleepless with anticipation. Still that is not the case. Something completely different gave the BVB supporters insomnia last night.

Dortmund did successfully stand the test before the upcoming Champions League
semi-final against Real Madrid. After a more than early lead through Marco Reus,
our team continued to play with the handbrake slightly applied and, as a
consequence, missed to prematurely extend the lead to have a comfortable
afternoon. Coach Jürgen Klopp took the game as a final test before the match on
Wednesday, sending the formation on the pitch that will most probably be the
starting one against Madrid. After an abundant but not 100 % convincing performance
against harmless and personnel weakened Mainzer, one question remains: will
this be sufficient against the royals?

Well, I think there is no real answer to this question. You just have to. Even though Borussia is on a good way to keep the second place in the ranking and is eight points clear of third-ranked Bayer Neverkusen, some more points need to be collected to secure the place behind Bayern Munich. Three more points at home against Mainz are needed and furthermore, the match can be seen as a final rehearsal for the Champions League match. Get in touch with the ball, gain three points at home, have a good Saturday afternoon. This is what should be the result of the Mainz game for the Ballspielverein.

The Bundesliga evergreen between, well, Greuther Fürth (one could at least refer to the team's nickname "shamrock" to explain the term "evergreen"!) and Borussia Dortmund is exciting spectators among the whole of Europe. Borussia were the stronger team in Spain but they did not manage to score the one goal it would have needed to win that game. Now we are facing the task to score at least once in 90 or maybe 120 minutes. Sounds not too hard? Well there is still the Spanish side to overcome and they will not go down easily.
08.04.2013, 20:59

Schieber scores 2 Goals against Augsburg – Yes, this is Bundesliga!

2 Goals scored by Schieber (22./ 52. minute), 1 by Subotic (64.) and 1 by Lewandowski (90. +2) where needed to beat a courageous Club from Augsburg, which scored 2 Goals in quit succession by Daniel Baier (43.) and Kevin Vogt (44.). To describe the Game one could easily just quote Jürgen Klopp after the match: "The boys did really well in the first half an hour. Then we lost a bit of our clarity. We intoxicated ourselves too much by our own game without getting into the zone where we could score goals. The equalizer came out of nowhere and the second goal may never ever be scored that way. That's something were we can give new impulses... however, we deserved this win. It was a pleasure to watch the boys. It was a bit more intense that one could need it to be."
