And suddenly everything seems ok...really?

In their darkest hour this season our team was able to astonish the experts when the won 2-1 in Stuttgart. And to top that surprise three-pointer they trashed Arminia Bielefeld 6-1 at home.

So far so goo, but was this really the start of a better future? Looking back the past 3 years had many of these uppers, just think of our win over Bayern early this year, that were mostly followed by real downers like the losing streak under Jürgen Röber. Though the team seemed improved in defence and showed more aggressiveness on the pitch, nobody can predict whether this will last for a longer period. We still lack a quality right back, defender and maybe even a real playmaker. That brings us to the next topic of the week...
Already last week there were rumours that BVB might be interested in Karlsruhe’s central defender Maik Franz. The Merseburg-born player had a brilliant last season in 2. Bundesliga and did perform well this season. Adding to that Michael Zorc, Borussia’s sporting director, is also interested in young playmaker Tamas Hajnal, who was transferred from 1. FC Kaiserlautern to Karlsruher SC before this season. Funny, that he was in fact the replacement for Giovanni Federico, who joined Dortmund last July. Both players, Franz and Hajnal, seem to have buy-out options each worth around 1 million Euro. And then there was a third KSC player, BVB have an eye on: Andreas Görlitz. But this case seems much more complicated as Görlitz has an contract with FC Bayern München and is only loaned to KSC. And at the moment it doesn’t seem likely that Uli Hoeneß want to sell him, especially as there is a slight chance that Willy Sagnol, Bayern’s nominal right back and French national player, might leave after this season.
Just when Thomas Doll thought that he found the perfect midfield combination injuries and illness could force him to do some changes again. Sebastian Kehl is struck by an abdominal flu and even if he is ready to start in Wolfsburg, he might not be fit 100%. To worsen things Tinga and Kringe are also injured and while Brazilian wizard Tinga will probably play, Florian Kringe has next to no chance to make the match in the Volkswagen-Arena.
