Seja bem-vindo a Dortmund, Tinga!
The second never ending transfer story is finished since last Thursday afternoon. The 28 year old, brazilin midfield player Tinga signed a contract for three years with Borussia. He just won the South American champions league with his club SC Internacional de Porto Alegre.
The official announcement of the transfer was delayed due to the participation und the last title win of Tingas former club. BVB was able to get an early agreement for the transfer but only with the requirement that Tinga was transferred after the end of the competition. The first of the two finals was won by Internacional with a strong Tinga who played the entire 90 minutes 2:1. Tinga had good scenes, including hitting the post. The 2:2 in the second final was enough for Internacional to win the Copa Libertadores. Tinga had an important impact to the game with his header goal for the 2:1 lead. He was booked red after the goal celebration in the 66. minute because he pulled his shirt off to show some Christian message.
The successful South American, but in the Bundesliga unknown, player Paulo César Fonseca do Nascimento, short form “Tinga”, will get the number 19. He should close next to Steven Pienaar the gap which Tomas Rosicky left after his move to Arsenal. The both footed Tinga should make the BVB midfield more flexible and dangerous.
At the same time he should support Sebastin Kehl in the defensive midfield and destroy the game of the opponent. Bert van Marwijk is full of praise for his new player:’ He is a dynamic midfield player with a good technique. He can read a game and anticipate situations. At the same time he is a goal getter and he is always thinking to steps in advance.’
Although we have younger players like Kruska and Sahin who can play on Tingas position the competition will especially help the younger players to develop their game. If Tinga can make the mindset switch to the Bundesliga and Borussia as quick as possible then he will be real strong addition to the squad and the supporters should have a lot of fun with his game (Remarks of schwatzgelb.com: Which he showed already at his first game for Borussia in Stuttgart last week, when he was one of the key player for the 3:1 victory! Back from Swabia with 3 points)
