The new player is Andre Bergdolmo
He was awaited for several days at Premiere league club Portsmouth FC. But now the Norway national Andre Bergdolmo mowed from Ajax Amsterdam to Borussia Dortmund. Thursday at 11:00 (am) Andre Bergdolmo was officially presented at BVB. He closes the gap that was caused by the injuries of several defensive players.The 31 years old Bergdolmo, who had a contract at Ajax till 2004, was not an integral part of coach Koeman's future plans. BVB contracted the player for 2 years till 2005 for an undisclosed fee, which seems to be between 300.000 and 800.000 Euro. Bergdolmo was a Ajax player since 2000 and scored 6 goals in 66 appearances. At Ajax he played in the central defense along with Christian Chivu. He is also capable of playing as a right- or left-back and thus gives Matthias some new options in defense. After the winter break he lost his regular place in the line-up to Petri Pasanen. Before his Ajax move in 2000 the Norwegian played from 1997-2000 for Rosenborg Trondheim (83 matches / 3 goals) and from 1991-1996 at Lillestrom SK (115 / 8). Bergdolmo already attended Thursday's morning training (9:30am).
