Ilkay Gündogan is out for two weeks

BVB midfielder Ilkay Gündogan, who was in superb form lately, will not be able to play football in the next two weeks.

Gündogan had to leave the field of play in Manchester after 82 minutes and Borussia Dortmund just announced that he suffered a compression of the lumbar spine. That means the German international will also miss the world cup qualifiers against Ireland and Sweden next week. From the Borussia point of view the international break comes just right, as Gündogan might only miss the match at Hanover and could be fit to play against Real Madrid and in the Derby.

We wish Ilkay Gündogan a fast recovery.
