Ten Days without National Players

The Bundesliga takes its second break during the current season – but only every second player of Borussia Dortmund can rest and collect his strange for the upcoming weeks. Eleven players from the squad are nominated for their national sides. At least Lucas Barrios saves the trouble concerning a newly "world trip".

The Polish national team steps up with a BVB-trio again. Jakub "Kuba" Blaszczykowski, Robert Lewandowski and Lukasz Piszczek were nominated to compete with South Korea in Seoul on the 7th of October and with Belarus on the 11th of October in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Serbian Neven Subotic faces Italy on the 7th of October in Belgrade. On the 11th of October he competes with Slovenia. His national team stills works on the qualification for the upcoming Euro 2012. Croatia and Ivan Perisic travel to Athens where their first opponent is going to be Greece. On Tuesday they will face Lithuania, they probably do not give away any points without resistance.

The German national team with Mario Goetze and Mats Hummels are going to face Turkey in Istanbul today, afterwards they compete with Belgium in Duesseldorf.

Japanese striker Shinji Kagawa and his team are going to play against Vietnam on the 7th of October. On the 11th of October he faces Tajikistan and tries to qualifier for the Asian Cup. His return is about to be expected around Wednesday.

The German U21 is full with players from Dortmund. Ilkay Guendogan, Marc Hornschuh and Moritz Leitner were nominated for the matches against Bosnia-Herzegovina on the 6th of October (3-0 win for Germany) as well as for the match against San Marino on the 10th of October. Ivan Paurevic from our second team has been nominated for the U21 team of Croatia.
