Borussians impressing around the whole world
Players of Borussia Dortmund this week continued the season like they began all over the world in their respective national jerseys. Ten Borussians were on the road representing their countries and Borussia, many of them impressed by doing so. Shinji Kagawa scored twice when Japan beat South Korea 3-0, while Mario Götze made Germans stun about their German wunderkind with a goal against Brazil and another incredibly good performance. At the 3-2 victory of Germany, Götze played 85 minutes as well as Mats Hummels. Both received good marks by German sports magazine "kicker", Götze earned a 1,5, Hummels went for a 2,5. Ilkay Gündogan who was called up for the German team for the first time, was not brought in as well as Sven "Manni" Bender. However, both will get their time to shine for the team with the eagle on their jersey, I'm pretty sure about that.
In another friendly match, Poland beat Georgia 1-0 and two youngsters from Dortmund were responsible for the golden goal. Lewandowski gave the assist to Jakub Blaszczykowski and the right offensive midfielder finished the attack with the lead which was never given away.
For Ivan Perisic, Moritz Leitner and Marc Hornschuh, the effort was not worth it. Perisic stayed on the bench while Croatia drew Ireland without any goals, Leitner was brought in ten minutes before the German U21 beat Cyprus 4-1. In the same game, Hornschuh stood on the pitch for around sixty seconds. Let's hope that all players are back without injuries, ready and hungry to take the three points away from Hoffenheim this Saturday.
