Schmelzer will miss the next BVB matches
Marcel Schmelzer tore a muscle fibre at Hanover and will miss the next matches. A MRI scan proved yesterday that Schmelzer suffered a minor tore in his back thigh muscle when he fell on his back during the first half of the unlucky Hanover loss. Schmelzer will be out for a week, so he can't play in Mainz nor in Marseille. Most likely he will be replaced by Chris Löwe, who did a good job during the first matches of the season, but had a big share in Hanover's equalizer, because he moved his head out of line instead of clearing the header by Haggui. Hopefully Klopp will tell him what to do in such a situation from now on. It seems that after a season of few injuries this time around the luck is not with us. Get well soon, Marcel!
