Test match: BVB 1 - Bursaspor 1
"In one or two years Marcel will take the free kicks for his team". Those were the words of Jürgen Klopp a couple of weeks before the end of last season. Well now time has moved on, however not a year has passed. But a rather brilliant Schmelzer free kick from just outside the box made it 1-1 in yesterday's test match vs Bursaspor in Stegersbach, Austria.
Turkish champions Bursaspor had taken the lead right before half time after a Götze blunder. As there were no streakers the most noteable thing was a refreshment break after 23 minutes and the ref sporting a headset (with the linesman sporting none). It was a test match. Borussia is still in full training as the pre-season camp in Austria continues until Saturday's clash with 1860 Munich in Munich.
Borussia (1st half): Weidenfeller - Owomoyela, Santana, Hummels, Dede - Kehl, Sahin - Kuba, Lewandowski, Götze - Stiepermann.
Borussia (2nd half): Langerak - Hornschuh, Subotic, Santana (75. da Silva), Schmelzer - Bender, Feulner - Kagawa, Hajnal, Großkreutz - Rangelov.
