Welcome Back Mohamed Zidan
After long and tough negotiations with the Egyptian administration, Mohamed Zidan finally arrived in Dortmund. Immediately after his cruciate rupture Zidan traveled to Egypt to accelerate his rehab. One must consider that the Egyptian law declares that every person who is the only supplier of his family is exempted from the military service. Unfortunately the reason for his long stay was the fact, that this law became invalid after Zidan's brother founded a company in Egypt. Anyway, the problems were solved and a return to Germany was possible. According to fitness coach Florian Wangler his knee already looks good. The possibility of a faster return to the squad training exists.
While Mohamed Zidan arrived back in Dortmund, twelve other Borussia players were spread around the world to play for their national teams. Good to see that three of them scored while with their teams. Shinji Kagawa was successful against his team mate super Lucas and Paraguay. The last-mentioned scored against China, the match ended 1-1. Last but not least Robert Lewandowski scored in a friendly match against Australia but he also missed a penalty. Poland lost that match 2-1 to the Socceroos
