Derby Boycott update - almost 200 BVB fan clubs and supporter groups back the boycott
The call to boycott the derby due to the increasing ticket prices has received widespread support among the BVB fans. At the moment 198 BVB fan clubs and supporter groups have signed the appeal. That means, these groups will all send their pre-ordered tickets back and refuse to visit the derby. Since the boycott was announced on very short notice, such a united reaction by the organised BVB fans comes unexpected. Remember that these are dedicated followers of the mighty Borussia and some of them have not missed a BVB match in years, much less a derby. This goes to show, that the appeal adresses a problem, that is a concern to many fans no matter what their background might be. In a very diversified fan scene as we have it in Dortmund, that says a lot.
